We are seeking a strategic and
experienced Senior Director of Technical Services to spearhead our Technical
Services team with a focus on safety, food safety, efficiency, and innovation.
In this critical role, you will oversee sanitation programs, ensure regulatory
compliance, and drive continuous improvement to maintain the highest industry

What You Will Do:
As the Senior Director of Technical Services, you will guide the Technical Services team in supporting customer accounts while partnering with internal teams on all aspects of food safety and safety. Key responsibilities include:
Manage a team of Technical Services Managers responsible for oversight of food safety and safety programs, policies, and regulatory compliance across North American locations.
Partner with Safety, Food Safety, and Operations teams to develop, implement, and oversee compliant policies, procedures, and documentation.
Provide technical assistance and support on complex safety and food safety issues at facilities and with local Fortrex teams.
Oversee compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, third-party audits, and applicable regulations (EEOC, OSHA, FDA, Homeland Security, EPA, USDA).
Communicate clearly and professionally, adapting messages for diverse audiences.
Create and executing strategies and programs to mitigate safety and food safety risks.
Support customers and internal stakeholders with best practices and regulatory compliance guidance.
Champion a culture where safety and food safety are prioritized and embedded across operations.
Coordinate safety and food safety initiatives aligned with company growth objectives.
Support Fortrex management teams in achieving Safety & Food Safety goals.
Manage multiple projects, setting and meeting deadlines, and aligning team goals with broader organizational objectives.
Ensure high standards of service, performance, and regulatory program implementation.
Safeguard food safety protocols for customer products through effective oversight.
Coach and developing team members, setting performance goals, and fostering accountability.
Build and maintain strong relationships within academia, industry associations, and with subject matter experts to stay ahead of industry trends.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, procedures, and regulations to drive innovation and compliance.
Analyze and applying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance safety and food safety outcomes.
Regularly review departmental processes and offering solutions for improvements or procedural changes.
Special projects and other assigned duties as needed.
Your Must Haves:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 10 or more years of related experience in Safety and or Food Safety with USDA/FDA background, extensive sanitation experience, and strong working knowledge of food plants, safety and food safety programs.
- Strong computer skills associated with Microsoft Office and basic skills required to learn new programs.
- Advanced problem solving and investigation skills focused on Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plans.
- 5 or more years experience managing teams of managers.

- 10 or more years in the sanitation or food processing industry.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Adaptable to various assignments and non-routine tasks.

Our Environment:
This position is based out of your professional home office when not traveling to customer facilities within your assigned geographical area. You may be required to sit for long periods of time while looking at a computer screen. When traveling or on customer visits, there may be exposure to wet, hot, and cold environments, include various shifts, and require use of Personal Protective Equipment ("PPE").
