Position Summary
The Fabrication Manager manages and trains a team of skilled labor responsible for the safe, efficient manufacture of the Company’s food safety intervention systems. This position also assists in creating new installation techniques as directed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Plan, train and develop manufacturing procedures for applicable systems.
• Identify and improve manufacturing methods, equipment and processes.
• Determine the quantity of material and finished goods needed to meet production and sales targets based on customer demand.
• Direct production planning and scheduling, and ensuring the successful scheduling of plant production work orders to fabricators/welders/electrical teams.
• Manage inventory of parts and metals, ordering materials and consumables ensure optimal stock levels are maintained, avoiding stockouts or excess stock.
• Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
• Ensure all safety and health standards are me to keep an organization accident-free.
• Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
• Perform on- site inventory audit.
• Work with engineers and designers for materials needed for manufacturing projects and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Achieve customer loyalty through outstanding customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- High school diploma/GED; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience performing relevant operations supervision and production scheduling activities.
- 1 year of experience with forecasting and production planning systems.
- 3 years of experience with project management/scheduling.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Famlirity with ERP/MRP, warehouse management, and logistic systems experience.
- 5 years of experience in metalworking process such as welding, cutting, bending, and operation of CNC machinery

This position is based in our manufacturing plant environment. Expected exposure to wet, hot, cold, various shifts, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Constant (role requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)
Use of fingers and hands. Lift/Carry 10 lbs or less & push/pull 12 lbs or less.
Frequently (role requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)
Stand, climb stairs, walk, sit, reach outward, squat/kneel, bend. Lift/Carry 11-50 lbs & push/pull 13-40 lbs.
Occasional (role requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)
Climb & crawl. Lift/Carry 51+ lbs & push/pull 41-100 lbs.
